Overview
Gollis University is a community-owned university located in Hargeisa, Somaliland. It was founded in 2004 as a teaching college but was upgraded to university status in 2005. The university currently has 11 faculties, offering a wide range of programs in the humanities, sciences, and engineering.
History
Gollis University was founded in 2004 by Dr. Saeed Ahmed Hassan. The university started with just a few programs, but it has grown rapidly over the years. In 2005, the university was upgraded to university status by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Somaliland. Today, Gollis University is one of the leading universities in Somaliland.
